NATHIE MARBURY

January 20, 1944 - April 15, 2013

Nathie Marbury was the 1st Black deaf woman to enter the National Leadership Training Program for the Deaf at California State University. She was also the 1st Black deaf female instructor at Kendall Demonstration Elementary School for the Deaf, 1978-1986. She conducted many workshops and seminars. She made a variety of videotapes over the last 25 years. She taught ASL courses at Austin Community College in Texas.
